Do you have a secret dream or desire to go on the news as a commentator? Have you not yet done any specialised TV news training to be interviewed on live TV? Have you done a TV interview and lacked confidence or just not as been as good as you feel you could be; so really want more practice to get your technique nailed?

We are putting on a full day of TV news media training for a small group of elite professional females. You will be trained by an award winning ITV News editor as well as former BBC and ITV news journalist, Kerry Hopkins, and TV news experienced cameraman. Kerry has worked with directors and the Board at NASDAQ and FTSE 100 corporations, leading Conservative and Labour politicians as well as David Beckham OBE and HRH Zara Phillips MBE.

You’ll learn:
• How to be a credible interviewee on TV
• Experience being interviewed several times by an award winning international ITN ITV News journalist in a professional TV news setting
• Get the all important intonation training to give you an advantage edge
• The chance to get a show reel made of your best take (additional cost required to produce this)
• Test drive in the safety of a training room what it will feel like being an expert on the news
• You’ll receive tips and techniques to take home with you as homework and ongoing practice and information about further coaching.

• Find out how your public speaking training or experience, can aid your performance on TV and how to adapt these skills for the small screen
• Test drive in the safety of a training room what it will feel like being an expert on the news
• You’ll receive tips and techniques to take home with you as homework and ongoing practice and information about further coaching.

You will be able to learn from each other, get support and make new friends from women who have the same aspirations as yourself.

How to create the best possible chance of getting your spokespeople on TV and radio news as experts

With past experience as a journalist for ITN ITV News and for BBC TV News, Kerry Hopkins is running a TV and radio workshop for PR’s and experts. Managing Editor Kerry, now runs www.contactbook.tv and wants to share her expertise with Corporate Communication professionals, PR’s and experts. The session has been developed especially with the consideration of the issues and challenges that broadcast news and documentary editors are facing in 2014, the “How to create the best possible chance of getting your spokespeople on TV and radio news as experts” workshop will be on Wednesday 7th May.

Important insight and information will be revealed at this workshop that has never been revealed in front of a group of PR’s before, but that all PR’s need to be aware of.

It is a half-day workshop that will teach:

  • How to reposition your spokesperson as an expert
  • How to maximise getting your expert spokespeople on TV and radio
  • How to have the edge on TV and radio over your competitors
  • The industries and areas of expertise that broadcast news outlets are currently looking for more experts in to go on air
  • Issues to be aware of
  • Which types of spokespeople you could consider
  • How to spend less time on TV and radio media relations and still get results

The event will be held at The Lansdowne Club in Mayfair.

The workshop will be held at the stately Lansdowne Club, which is a beautiful private members’ club and in fact the old home of Mr. Selfridge of Selfridges.  In keeping with the theme of the property, it has a strict dress code that all attendees must comply with in order for the club to grant access.
